A Southern Style Baby Shower
As a new mommy to be, I knew that when it was my turn to plan and design our very own baby shower that I would go all out and create a southern pink party!!
Our baby Skylar will be the first grandchild on both sides of the family and we really wanted to celebrate with all of our friends and family! With a beautiful setting at Litchfield Plantation and yummy food we could only dream of a more perfect day!
Easter weekend was perfect with a calming breeze blowing through the rice fields I was able to sit with my high school best friends an open all of the beautiful gifts that were sent our way!
I am so used to working each of the events that I create for all of our wonderful clients that this was really wonderful that I was able to sit back, relax and enjoy this time.
In our business of event planning and design we work with many wonderful vendors who often become like family and our vendors we chose to work with on this event were no exception. Especially our Desserts, Bradley from Cravinleys went above and beyond when it came to our 3 tiered pink and white baby shower cake!
When I was asked to plan the menu I knew that I wanted pretty food(girly foods) even though this was a couples shower I still liked the idea of all of my favorites! Pasta Salad, Chicken Salad, Cheese Displays, Fruit, Quiche, and Sliders were just a few of the items that Creative Catering were able to serve up!!
The design for this party was easy for me. I am having a girl…so well then the party must be Pink!! I wanted a fun and southern environment to fit in with the beautiful scenery. I worked with Debbie who runs our floral department to create beautiful bubble ball centerpieces filled with Pink and White flowers. We also used old wooden boxes and filled these with similiar flowers.
Many special touches were added as well. I created baby blocks with mod podge, wooden letters and of course lots of glitter. Our maternity pictures as well as a few baby pictures were also placed on the dessert and entry tables for guests to view as they entered the back yard! One of our most favorite projects were the game prizes. With a love of champagne we purchased pink chamapge and made fun tags that said ” Shes about to pop!!” for the guests who won at baby bingo!!
Daniel and I are so blessed to have so many friends and family who were able to come out and celebrate this special day with us!!! We know that Baby Skylar is one special little girl!!
I cannot say how thankful we are to also have worked with so many wonderful vendors:
